Lesole Maine - Director of Lesole's Dance Project

Our next featured artist is a dynamic dancer from South Africa!  He is also the first guest artist to appear on the Rhythm N' Dance Podcast

Lesole Maine was born in Sebokeng, South Africa. This small township, just outside of Johannesburg, a place rich in diversity, culture and tradition, inspired Lesole's love of dance and his appreciation for the many ethic customs surrounding him. Fluent in more than three languages, Lesole's heritage enhances his performances.

While a high-school student, Lesole won several community awards in Ballroom and Latin American dancing. In 1995, Lesole was awarded a scholarship to study with the Johannesburg-based Moving Into Dance Mophatong. Here, he studied Contemporary, Jazz, Afrofusion, Modern, Ballet, Jive, Hip-Hop, and Traditional African dance.
